Can I transcribe a lecture I recorded with another app?
Yes. If you already have the audio, share the file to Simply Transcribe from the Files app or the share sheet and it transcribes on-device.
How long can a lecture recording be?
Recordings under five minutes transcribe free, at full accuracy. A single one-time in-app purchase unlocks recordings of any length — no subscription.
Does it work for languages other than English?
Yes — 25 languages on iPhones with 6GB of RAM or more (iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max, or any iPhone 14 and newer), running iOS 26 or later.
